A red-letter day for all Industrial drone segments in Bharat

 

The PM of India Shri. Narendra Modi ji inaugurated the Bharat Drone Mahotsav at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi today amidst a packed  audience. 

He congratulated all those involved in the drone segments across India and said he wasn’t late for the inauguration today  --  that he came on time but was so absorbed in listening to what the drone sector was geared for, assimilating what they had to deliver, and listening to the many participants at the stalls that he didn’t realize time was ticking away and that he was late for the inauguration. He confessed he certainly would have liked to know more as the information provided to him was spell-bounding on the subject , making him thrilled at the prospects of what lay in store for Bharat.

Policy making with technology, better governance and a lot more were capable of being handled by drone technology and when he visited the stalls, he was proud and could hardly believe  his eyes that it was happening here in India. "It was gratifying to note that yes, we have commenced the journey and spearheaded at a fast pace in Bharat especially in Agriculture and service delivery and today, 150 certificates have been provided to 150 Drone pilots congratulating them on their recognition" he stated.

Employment generation is also handled better, thanks to the new innovation.

"There was a time when one had to wait in queue about 7-8 years ago to purchase grains, sugar, etc., and there was a fear in the mind that just when one’s turn comes to access, the queue would come to an abrupt halt to disperse, as the shop would close due to supply being short and the endless wait for that day would be a wasted one for the customer. Not anymore. Thanks to digitalization and technology improvements, everybody would get what is rightfully due to them.  Ease of living would be evident, " he added.  As a visionary leader, Shri Modi ji stressed that no matter which sector it pertained to, be it media, film industry, or another from the gamut of industries prevalent, it was only quality and content that would be focused upon. Whether it is inspection or governance, drone technology would be able to handle every aspect such that the old systems would get replaced, worries and hardships would dissolve on account of digitalization and it would be an astounding success and a win -win situation for one and all.

Now farmers  can easily sow seeds with the help of drones, irrigate and also harvest on time, and not to forget, even when it came to a matter of right fertilizing, it would be incorporated into the system. Timely intervention for best production and ease would result as drone technology comes into the forefront to assist the farmer in every way.  Soil testing to determine what is missing or lacking in the soil would also be easily tracked and made available at the farmers’ hands, micro-irrigation, sprinklers to assist watering of plants, would certainly help in assisting the health of farmers. Their drudgery would be removed and thus we can all be proud to witness the same. He reiterated that Drone technology is not for just the elite class but is made available to the masses and that is a great victory for Bharat, the land of the farmers. Even for the police sector, drone technology can be introduced to play a vital role in assisting them in Melas during festive occasions for police patrolling , as a result of which many dangers or disasters can be averted on time in a jiffy,  as  drone technology has the power to do so .

Shri. Modi ji confessed that with the help of Drone technology he was able to see and view for himself what was practically happening at Varanasi with the help of drone technology, which he was very glad to note. This tool has done wonders in every field and approx. 55 lakh agri property cards were issued in a jiffy for the farmers. This would otherwise have taken several years to be completed, he informed. The farmers in Madhya Pradesh realize that as a result of drone technology even medicines for agriculture and soil health cards, sprinklers, neem coated urea cards, were accessible. Villages are comfortable and are confident of better results in production due to smart technology. So small farmers are benefitted such that their network is working at a fast pace to get timely relief for them, he expressed .

There were so many restrictions faced earlier but thanks to Drone technology, more and more experiments and innovations are definite to take place to increase the scale to greater heights. He appealed to all to get to empower themselves even if they are start- up companies and asked them to integrate themselves to the new concept of drones.

Geo-tracking, statistics on where the seeds are coming up,  quality aspects, how dry or wet is the soil, when is it due for harvest and a lot more, as ready information are available in a timely fashion now  like never before  to the small farmer which is a real boon for agricultural needs and production.

He summed up nicely saying it is ultimately technology driven delivery and being equipped with digitalization that paves the way for ease of living and comfort for all.

English has gone a long way … such a long way that I fear keeping track of it may be tougher than I expect to.  The language has undergone a sea change so much so that one would need to have the latest dictionary to keep track.  Sounds crazy, but well we have no other option.
