Your Organ’s body clock... change your lifestyle accordingly

Your Organ’s body clock ... change your lifestyle accordingly for healthy living

Most people are unaware that the first thing that they need to do on getting up is to drink hot water. The Mahatma or Father of the Nation sipped a large marble tumbler of hot water daily , it used to be so hot that he used to hold it with a napkin between his fingers  says my dad, who I guess imbibed  the habit  as his Personal Secretary and at 96  is fit as on date. Not surprisingly, I too took to it as a fish takes to water.  Hence I can vouch for the same. The worst time to drink coffee is early in the morning as it contains caffeine. Old habits die hard but the fact is  Caffeine is a diuretic and takes water away from your colon to your kidneys and bladder for evacuation. Your body needs plenty of water in the morning to do its repair and maintenance of the large intestine and colon.
Comfortably sit and sip as much as three to four glasses of piping hot water in the morning, gradually. It may be tough to commence initially, hence start by having one glass daily per week. By second week add the next glass and so on. In a month’s time you will be geared to help your body to cater to the repair and maintenance mechanism of your large intestine and colon, which is very vital. Tip: Take time to drink water in a sitting position and never standing or whilst walking.

There are 12 major organs in our body and each of them owe its timings to two hours out of the 24 hours in a day , ensuring that your body works round the clock to actually keep you fit as a fiddle. You were blessed with Pancha bhoothas in your own palms.  Acupuncture Acupressure , Reiki , Pranic healing, Mudras, Yoga  and other holistic routes  from a good  and experienced practitioner can relieve  stress from the core of the roots instead of you downing tablets for symptomatic relief  and experiencing side effects at a later stage, which is not worth the bargain.

We are all under the impression that the body rests when we sleep, although in actual it is not so. The fact remains that as long as one is alive, the body works throughout irrespective of night or day without a break, in perfect coordination. This is a marvel and precisely one of the reasons why we have to treat our body as a temple. Mastering these internal rhythms can pay rich dividends, such as controlling your weight, sleeping better, improving your overall mood and so much more, the joys of which are immeasurable.
Mood swings and hot flushes are experienced in menopause stage by women but they can learn to override it by getting to know how to abide by the internal body’s clock and learn to tide over their encountering problems to the extent possible.
Repair Table for the 12 organs:
Lungs: 3am-5am
Large intestine: (or colon) 5am-7am
Stomach: 7am-9am
Spleen: 9am-11am
Heart: 11am-1pm
Small Intestines: 1pm-3pm
Bladder: 3pm-5pm
Kidneys: 5pm-7pm
Pancreas: 7pm-9pm
Blood Vessels and Arteries: 9pm-11pm
Gallbladder: 11pm -1am
Liver: 1am-3am
There are specific timings to eat and sleep so that we work efficiently and assist our body to stay healthy. Good health is wealth. Chinese and the Ayurvedic holistic health practitioners have known this for hundreds of years and it is not something new or without logic.  Intake of the right food is important for the body.

Going vegetarian is advised. When we experience any form of aches in our body, it is a signal/ indication  to us to say that we are not adhering/ abiding  strictly to our body organ clock’s time zones. We need to introspect.  Let me cite examples to make understanding easy.  When it is the ‘Tripe Warmer Time’ (11 P.M. to 1 A.M.), many people across the globe are busy eating food at late night dinner parties or business parties , when, in fact, they must avoid eating as it is the time for Thyroid and adrenals, which are responsible for energy transfer. This is the ideal time to chill out, relax or read a book. Just visualize and imagine the consequence! How can energy transfer take place effectively if you stand as a spoke in the wheel and prevent the energy transfer by eating at that very time?

Citing another example, I may say, we give a lot of strain for our kidneys weighing just a paltry 200 grams in our body, which nevertheless have two major roles to play, that of maintaining the acidbase balance:  (a)  They re-absorb bicarbonate from urine. (b)They excrete hydrogen ions into urine. At this time (5 PM to 7 PM) we ought to eat dinner and restore our energy but on the contrary most office goers and business people are actually still at office lashing out at meetings or handling appointments one after the other or travelling back home in their cars from office with traffic at a snarling pace .Your bean shaped kidneys are responsible for storing your energy reserves. So if you are exhausted / tired by the end of the day, what exactly are you spending your energy on? At a time when you need to store your energy reserves by eating, you are actually working or sitting on the driving wheel amidst chaotic traffic, at your wits end facing hunger pangs, which can be a stress too!
People prefer to have a heavy dinner after office hours and don’t care to realize the far reaching consequences, which actually strikes hard in middle age.  It is sometimes a blow that sometimes one can’t recover from. You need to learn to put yourself first by eating a very light dinner which is very crucial at this time.  If, on the contrary, you can’t have your dinner before 7 P.M. then it is better to go to bed with some biscuits or some fruit or a sandwich coupled with just a glass of hot milk. This way you don’t ruin your health. Eating after the designed time slot is detrimental to good health. Hotels and restaurants are making a heyday profiteering on your bad habits and ignorance. You will eventually land up paying hefty bills for medical checkups in Hospitals at a later stage, if you do not adhere to the body clock.
Having a heavy breakfast is important, although we find many youngsters not realizing the value of a good one and skipping it, on a diet conscious note, which is absolutely ridiculous and unhealthy.
It is important to know these time cycles of your body clock, if you want to understand your health problems and learn to treat yourself. If you feel sluggish, foggy, edgy and with aches, etc. at particular times of day, you will know which organ is trying to repair the damage done to it, and these ‘feelings’ you experience are a result of energy being expended to do these repairs.
We find a lot of youngsters in the IT field nowadays going for shifts at work. This is akin to frequent  jet lags and is harmful for the body. This is because they will not be able to adhere to the correct time slots and thus will put a strain on the organs and eventually lead a stressful life. Probably the night shift is more paying in terms of monetary value, but if it is a regular one, then it is not advisable as you will oust your body reserves and land up in a mess. Moreover, night birds can’t easily shift to becoming early risers. It is a practice to be inculcated with some amount of will power. Your Solar plexus ought to be really strong to take up this task and it is an upheaval to say the least.

One should be up before the sun rises to do yoga ‘Surya Namaskar’ as a thanksgiving or salutation to the sun god. The Sun is the only Visible God to us no matter what religion we belong to. The Sun rises daily and sets at the appointed time with no reminders from anyone It spells the disciplined approach to life and well being.

Lungs: are the first organs of the day that are up for repair and maintenance. The toxic waste from your lungs becomes loosened between 3 to 5 A.M., and when you awaken, this is why you cough sometimes. Your lungs are trying to expel the loosened waste. If you are coughing in the morning, it indicates a gentle reminder that your diet and lifestyle certainly needs tweaking. So listen to the early  warning signs.
Large Intestine or Colon:  From 5 to 7 A.M. a healthy colon needs water to function properly, which is flushing waste matter. Morning time is precious and most important to discharge your duties, so drink plenty of water for this process, It is  the worst time to have caffeine. In fact, it is better to stay away from Coffee.  For many South Indians the ‘filter Kapi’ has become a way of life and they just can’t do without it. They get addicted to it and it gives them a headache if they can’t have it.  Caffeine is a diuretic and takes water away from your colon to your kidneys and bladder for evacuation. Your body needs water in the morning to do its repair and maintenance of the large intestine and colon. This keeps you from getting constipated, gaining weight, and looking and feeling older. If you irrigate your system every morning with pure water, your health definitely improves. If you wait until you have a bowel movement before you eat in the morning, this is also healthier for your colon.
Stomach: Between 7 and 9 A.M. the stomach is repairing and does not need a big meal to deal with. The stomach needs very little fluid, unlike the large intestine and colon which needs fluid to repair properly in the morning. Commence your day with fluids be it pure water or fresh juicy vegetables or fresh fruit that is easily digested. However, if you can, drink only fluids in the morning for optimal health.
Spleen: From 9 to 11 A.M.. the spleen gets cleaned. During this time/process or when the spleen is in a weakened state, you may suffer with allergies or not be able to shake a cold or flu as the spleen works with the liver and your immune system. A healthy spleen produces antibodies when there is an infection and constantly monitors the blood for invaders.
Heart: repairs take place between 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.  Your body is removing waste from the heart and you may sometimes notice a rapid heartbeat, double beats and/or skipping beats.  It is estimated that 70% of heart attacks occur when the heart is in its repair period.
Small Intestines: Have you noticed that between 1 to 3 P.M. you are more apt to have indigestion, pain and bloating? If this happens, two things could be wrong:
1. Your diet is not what it should be and your food is not digesting;
2. Your diet is causing problems that are now causing you stress. A proper diet will help take care of these problems.
Kidneys and Bladder: From 3 to 7 P.M. you may notice you’re very tired and want a nap. Actually this is a detox time, so you ought to drink tea and have more water.  When the kidneys are healthy and working properly, you’ll feel energetic at that time, not tired. This is  the best time for efficient work, so one must drink tea and study but not sleep!
Pancreas: Between 7 to 9 P.M. do you have intense cravings for sweets or processed carbohydrates that turn to sugar immediately in the system? The kidneys regulate the pancreas, and if you do consume sweets during that period, you may notice low back pain, which is a kidney symptom. The kidneys, bladder and pancreas are all parts of the same whole. If you need a nap early in the evening it is just your pancreas, as directed by your kidneys, putting you out so it can do its repairs.
Blood Vessels and Arteries: From 9 to 11 p.m. the blood vessels go into repair mode. If you get headaches, feel abnormally tired or weak, this means that the blood vessels are in heavy repair.
Liver and Gall bladder: experiencing difficulty to  sleep between 11 p.m. to 3 A.M.? It means that your liver  is not processing waste as it ought to  as a result of which it  acts as an irritant to your body causing insomnia and frayed nerves. Your brain just won’t stop and you have none to blame but yourself when you land in this kind of a troubled situation . Before going to sleep always go to bed in a relaxed state . Calming the body and mind is crucial before going to bed.  Anger in bed does not help and will only ruin your health.

The Creator blessed the human fraternity  with a fantastic body which works with clock work precision 24/7 all 365 days in a year without demanding a Spring, Summer or Winter holiday.  Did you ever spare a moment to realize this?
You need to first learn to understand the functioning of it. You can be your body’s own healer and learn to treat it. Your destiny is in your hands not in the hands of someone else. You can make or mar your life depending on how well you understand the functioning of your organs’ time scheduling to make changes for your lifestyle accordingly. Its never too late to begin ... so start NOW !!

Stay tuned to the slightest symptoms your body wants to convey to you as by intuition, you can get guided when to fuel up, take rest etc. Normally speaking, a short afternoon is perfectly fine, a nap of 40 winks can leave you as fresh as 6 hours of night’s sleep. Do not hesitate to have it when your system wants it.
You are your own doctor. You know your body best . Handle it with  kid gloves and tender loving care and cherish the joys of renewed energy. We take so much care for  the maintenance of our cars and vehicles, which are man-made and can be replicated. But we fail to live up to our standards when it comes to maintaining our body, which is a marvel,  a gift of God that can't be replicated in the name of Science. ! What a shame. Daily care for external beauty is simply not enough . There's more to it than meets the eye. Look within and see where your body needs assistance from you to cater to the competitive world of living. Consult any holistic healer who can aid in renewing  lost energies and reviving the spirit in you and follow the organ's body clock as meticulously as possible... See the change in you ... feel the difference !  Thanks Divine...Cheers !!!!
