Agriculture gets a new impetus with Drone technology by Garuda Aerospace in India
The PM Shri Narendra Modi pressed the Drone button to
launch the monumental Kisan Drone Yatra today, Feb 19, 2022, witnessing the
hallmark of a flight of 100 Kisan drones by Garuda Aerospace, who are among the
top six drone companies in India.
First was the turn of Pathankot in Punjab followed closely on the heels by North Goa in Goa where the Drone Yatra was being commenced. Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh , Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Rajanagaram in Andhra Pradesh, Salem in Tamil Nadu, Golaghat in Assam, Jaipur in Rajasthan and Karim Nagar in Telengana are the places where the agricultural drone has commenced and is being incorporated by Garuda Aerospace.
The Company set out in a big way to
enhance the envisaged golden future of Bharat by deploying 100 drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)
at the outset, in what can be termed as a historical commencement, unpreceded
till date.
The PM of India in his inaugural speech today stated that if the right policies used as a basis for making decisions were to come to light at the right time as a means of development to make India reach great heights , today is a perfect example of what it has to offer for India to go on such a splendid event. Until a few years ago, in this country when the name of Drone was uttered, it seemed like it was in sync with the army for some operations and was synonymous with hunting down enemies during a war, or on such similar lines. But today we are using Drones (UAVs) to help farmers and reiterated that he has no qualms that UAVs will be used in many circumstances to operate in a plethora of different segments in industries, such that we experience a flood of happiness emerging to light up our day-to-day lives for the better usage of such technology.
Technology
and innovation by Garuda Aerospace was amply recognized and highlighted by him and he congratulated by showering praises on the untiring efforts of the entire team for their involvement and dedicated work in
the field for the preceding two years, with the aim to operate one lakh of drones made in India, as a result of which farmers will now get assistance to grow
their crops with ease and within a shorter duration. Mr. Modi encouraged start-ups and said he was confident
that when it came to the UAV industry, India would soon emerge second to
none, beyond a shadow of doubt.
Currently the UAV industry is poised for a giant leap although the Drone segment is still in its nascent stage when compared to the global scenario.
