Learn to pay obeisance to your body, a gift of God.
Learn to pay obeisance to your body.
It is a sacred place of worship by itself.
We pay respect to the mortal
remains of a body after death with all pomp and religious fervor no matter what
religion. (I know of people who instruct
and meticulously leave behind money for their funeral expenses and write down point by point the after -death sequential activities
to be carried out by the family members whilst alive , to execute it properly,
lest it gets done haphazardly ) but when the body is in existence we have
paid scant regard for it. This is my take.
Our Mortal body is
nothing short of a Miracle
1. You
should be thankful for your body as it shows you warning signs of when
something goes wrong. Any disease that sets in first meets you at an aura
level, which is your Ether double body. After that it penetrates to your
physical body and then the mental body. So you are provided with ample time to
improve upon yourself before it is too late.
2. Stand
focused on what you want to improve upon.
Your body has been blessed with many chakras for the overall functioning
to a ripe age of 120 yrs. Don’t quit the
world earlier. See which chakra the problem relates to and improve upon that
chakra. Your problems, no matter what they are in life, can all be addressed
through the strengthening of the major chakras.
3. Your
body is in your hands literally. Each finger represents the Pancha bhoothas
viz., Thumb represents fire element, Index represents air, Middle finger
corresponds to space, Ring finger comprises of the earth element and the little
finger signifies water. We came into being with everything so meticulously outlined
such that we learn to heal ourselves with our own hands. No external help
required, if only we knew how to take care of our body rather than downing
lakhs of rupees in a corporate hospital time and again. Donating the amount for
any charity would have been a better choice! Holistic measures are divine’s
gift to mankind and the sooner we realize it the better. There is nothing which
can’t be treated holistically, provided of course you came in not at the last
juncture, but as soon as possible, heeding to body signals.
Citing an
example: I remember my mother ( Late Mrs
Saraswathy Kalyanam) telling me that my
great grandmother used to remove Jaundice seated with a needle and a tumbler of
water placed before the patient with “Namasmarana” on her lips, reciting the ‘Vishnu
Sahasranama’. The entire water in the tumbler would turn yellow through the eye
of the needle, by the time the chanting was done. There were hundreds of people who had got
cured by her. Unfortunately none in the family ever bothered to learn the art.
Possibly because it was a strenuous affair and my great grandmother would get
fever and feel weak each time and would be rejuvenated holistically. The point I am making here is that treatments
are possible with our own hands at home as the above incident may seem magical
and miraculous, but then we are nothing short of a miracle entity as human
being, packed with immense power in the first place. In today’s world, for jaundice, people go to corporate
hospitals! Mudras are available with our
fingers and we can heal our body lovingly through Mudras.
4. Our
body is segregated as ‘Vata’, ‘Pittha’ and ‘Kapha’ as food we intake
corresponds to that and we learn to avoid what is not ok for us based on these
categories. Hence, one man’s food is another man’s poison.
5. Ever
wondered why you were created with two arms and two legs, two kidneys and two
lips, two eyes and ears and two bums, but just one nose, one liver, one heart
and one uterus, one spine, one tongue, one throat, etc.
There is some sanctity behind the one and two for sure as we are a wonderful
creation of the Divine, who can’t be replicated in the name of Science or any advancement
such as launches to the Moon. Any
attempt to belittle or replicate us would be futile. On a humorous note, I
dread to think if we were given more than one anus to excrete, what could
happen!
h Why are we being blessed with so much in our frame of a Mortal body which
we know for sure is to be consigned to
the flames or buried on earth sooner or later ? It is not without a reason. Ponder a moment
and you will get the answers. See if it matches with the below which I have to
state. If there’s something more that you can comprehend, please feel free to
share in the comments of this blog, so that it is learning and development for
all. It would be much appreciated.
We come across
sayings as:
Love thy
neighbor … in a lighter vein, but not
thy neighbour’s wife! J
Love all, serve
all.
Love begets
love
Love, Love,
Love, Love there’s so much to it. But where does it all boil down to? It all boils down to loving ourselves in the
first place!!
The Divine Mantra
is to LOVE
YOURSELF first as you are focusing on becoming a better version.
Everything starts with YOU.
1. Your arms are blessed to hug someone, why even
hugging yourself too! In fact one can
even hug a tree to get positive energy. So try hugging one and see the
difference it makes to your life. It is because of the energy that it exudes
that travelers used to take rest under a tree when going for long distances.
Your arms can carry you a long way if you learn to
love another and encircle your arms by hugging another to comfort or send joy.
Feelings are reciprocated through the arms, so as long as you take care of your
arms they will work hard to execute what you need them to. Have feelings and empathy. Your arms will
never ache when you carry heavy things as we are made to shoulder burdens. They are made to work more dedicated to
serve others. The more your arms stretch
out to give, the more the better. BE THANKFUL FOR YOU HAVE TWO HEALTHY ARMS that help
you to achieve your Mission on earth, for some came into this world without
arms or had their arm(s) removed.
‘Hands that
help are holier than lips that pray’ – Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Prasanthi Nilayam, Parthy.
2.
Your legs are blessed to take you far and near,
to places you wish to reach out. You can run from danger or jump down from the
top of a tree with ecstasy but remember in your old age, they falter but try
their best to keep you moving. It is
essential to have thanked the pair for trudging long miles each day, as
thankfulness helps them to serve you for a longer time without diseases of
arthritis, numbness of feet, Varicose veins, nerve weakness, etc. You could spare a moment to massage them each
night to show them that they are loved. The feeling you demonstrate goes a long
way for their performance. Just like when a child is given a “ V.Good” in her
assignment by her teacher , the child tries to make it better in the same
subject with a “V.Good” yet again. But if she does not get it again, the feeling
is felt. So the body too has feelings and reciprocates the way we treat the
part of the body after it serves you. BE THANKFUL FOR
YOUR ACHING FEET EACH DAY >>> there are people born lame!
3.
Every human body has wear and tear no matter if
it is an Avatar on earth. Illness,
injury and temporary breakdowns happen before the final calling, but eventually
your body tries its best to provide you whatever is possible by it under the
best circumstances. Embrace your body for it longs for such hugs and goes all
out for you. Your body is always backing
you and is on your side favoring you at all costs. You need to understand it a little better and
sprinkle showers of love every now and then, with some treats for serving you
so far. Treats could be massaging too. BE THANKFUL FOR
WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN BESTOWED WITH IN THIS LIFE, IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.
4. Your body is super intelligent. Do not
underestimate its glory. It knows what
it needs. When the body is deprived of
water, it makes you feel thirsty; if you are depleted of energy it shows
signals of hunger pangs to let you know that you need some food intake; if you should not meet somebody for any
reason or take a flight as ordained, and your stomach churns, it is an
indication to you of something unpleasant or detrimental that is in store. Cancel the appointment as intuitively the
body has tried to communicate. Listen to your body signals. Also, when there is something going wrong,
your body will show signs of pain to alert you. Do not ignore the pains. They
are a blessing to communicate to you that all is not well. So always check for
signals in your body and communicate your love to your body, be it rain or
shine, morning or night. BE THANKFUL YOUR BODY
KNOWS WHAT IT NEEDS AND ASKS WHAT IT
WANTS DISCREETLY
5.
All parts of your body have different roles to
play. Nothing remains idle for a moment unlike us. Each organ works round the
clock without you instructing or reminding it. Ever realized that? In a world
where we are forever having to check on so many things be it before boarding a
flight, or sending a note to our spouse for something that ought to be taken
care of in our absence, instructing the maid or the driver on what to do,
informing the secretary on appointments which are crucial, and ever so much in
this mundane activities, have we ever thought of this wonderful body which is a
blessing and A MEANS TO GET OUR TASKS fulfilled? There are many who commit suicide
and they ought to know that this is grossly wrong. This body is provided to love and not to kill
oneself no matter what troubles we are entrenched with. We have come to this
world to experience a slice of life as per our Karmas. What cannot be cured has
to be endured. BE THANKFUL FOR EACH AND EVERY PART OF
YOUR BODY.
Make your
children learn treatments holistically. Teach them to respect their body. It is definitely more advantageous to them in
life and will serve them dutifully, far better than the bookish knowledge they
strive for as subjects at schools and colleges. Looking after one’s body is
also an art to be inculcated when young. They need to treat the body as a treasure from
God and abstain from misuse and apprehensions.
What you are is God's gift to you and what you make of yourself is your gift to God.
