DRONES - the surprise buzzword out to change many lives.

It might surprise many Indians, especially the common man to know that whilst the buzzword ‘DRONE’ is already in, it is still new to many. All this, despite the fact that there are many Companies which have set foot in India and have been silently working on DRONE TECHNOLOGY which is prevalent in many areas today.  Albeit the fact remains that it is still nascent, when compared to overseas establishments across the globe, which have already put their best foot forward to scrutinize the same, engineer their strengths and skills to harness and meet the existing demand for the trending market.

What exactly is a drone?  It is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which oversees activities and therefore you can consider it to be an updating on the helicopter front. A helicopter is a very costly affair but with the advent of Drones, the work carried out by a helicopter is handled much better and far more efficiently by the Drone. Drones came into being in the world as early as 1935 through Britishers who produced a number of radio-controlled aircraft to be used as targets for training purposes. However, in India it has just been since the 1990s when the Indian army acquired UAVs from Israel and the Indian Air force and Navy followed suit  respectively and is still nascent.  It may be of interest to the common man that India first made use of military drones during the Kargil war against Pakistan for photo reconnaissance  along the Line of Control ( LOC).  USA and Israel are the largest producers of drones. Mr. Abrahem Karen is regarded as the Founding Father of UAV ( drone ) technology.

The DRONE technology has much to offer, considering it can be utilized in many areas, viz., agriculture including tree plantation drives, Drones for contactless deliveries, Movie Industry,  Wind and Solar Power,  Manufacturing, Electrical, Sanitization, Forestry, e-commerce, military, surveillance in lockdown, etc., Drones are being explored extensively across an array of industries, including, but not limited to, construction, real estate, ecommerce, agriculture, utilities and energy, financial services, media and entertainment and in short just about every conceivable one in an era of gilded age of technology.

And whilst the scope for UAVs is large, equally big is the variety of drones with camera. Just as one would opt for any electrical device in the market and is confronted with so many models, so also in the Drones one can find cheap as well as costly ones to suit every budget and operations.  There are no less than at least 10 best camera drones in 2022 that I could reel out for you, ideally suitable and vying with one another for photography and video purposes.   Needless to add, while there are toy UAVs and dirt-cheap varieties for drone cameras, professional drone users in the industry are quite ok to spend tens of thousands of dollars to get the best in terms of image quality coupled with flight time in order to meet the demands of the industry, enabling faster and safer transportation, at a time when global supply chains have been disrupted and aviation too has been anchored due to the pandemic.

Recollect the time you spent to buy your first mobile phone, a computer or digital equipment for that matter with scores of Value-Adds and latest updates? Well, this UAV affair isn’t anything less.  Each UAV may be suitable for a particular chore that it could best perform over the other model and therefore knowledge in terms of Drone technology is mandatory before you set foot on moving forward.

Here’s where companies in India are coming forward to play a significant role in nurturing the talents of the youngsters and roping them in for a new challenge to board the UAV industry by providing them suitable training after they complete their graduation.

The scope of Drones Technology is so much that it can be compared to the boom of the IT market way back in the 1990s.  Just as Information Technology is used in many sectors in different industries, so also the Drone technology is prone to meeting the demand of every industry that exists under the sun. No denying that.   The rampancy in Drone technology would soon pervade the market like none other and hence the scope of job offerings too would also be teeming large with the number game.

The platform is raised for a good setup in India and the show is just gearing up for the great day, in so far as India is concerned.  UAV technology sets the temperature soaring with an offing of new models and pictures in technology for what seems like a romantic getaway from the distant past. A new era. Yes, that’s like a new beginning. One can envisage it to be akin to a grinding halt to hand-grinding stones for a kickstart to electric grinders in the kitchen for the woman of substance today, giving vent to time and energy disposal hitherto unknown. Better still, recall the first time that electric two-wheelers entered the market with a bang, giving a facelift from the bicycle era?  Or the difference it made from an ordinary kickstart  of a TVS 50 to that of a three-geared vehicle as the 'Silver Plus model' from Enfield Motors to suit the speed and challenges of that era's execution?

Technology changes many things and now it is the active advent of the Drones from 2022, moving forward. And there is no looking back.

Are you as a student geared to face the world of tomorrow where Drone technology is to pervade every nook and corner of the earth with its glamourous but need of the hour - outlook?  The job market may be saturated for other industries, but the Drone Industry is just opened up to a rainbow of colors to match every set up, no matter if it is a startup, midsized industry or large one.   Can you even comprehend the thought of drones delivering food or groceries or medicinal supplies, etc. setting pace with the contactless deliveries during an extensive range of tasks owing to Covid?  That’s 2020 for you … get geared.  It is predicted for India soon becoming one of the largest consumers of drone technology in the world and thus the perfect destination for the global drone industry.

The Prime Minister of India Shri Modi ji  is seen  in picture  inaugurating the Kisan Drone Yatra , a segment to assist farmers in  the  cultivation of crops using the hi-tech facility in  many places in  early 2022, paving the way forward for betterment in terms of food industry procurements.

Stay tuned to more of the drone segments from me if you are gearing for a career on Drones Technology
